STATUS OF THE HISTORIC CHURCH - MOVE AND RENOVATION
COMPLETE -
This coming week, the survey crew will stake the location for the foundation **storage container will arrive.
Close down & empty the HC.
Remove vegatation around the HC required for its relocation
The windows will be removed starting Dec. 2 and transported to the stained glass Co.'s facility for reimbursement. The windows will be replaced with plywood. Removal is estimated to take approximately 5+ days.
Remove lower skirt from the HC.
Foundation crew will stake the location for the foundation piers. Next week pier crew will drill and pour the concrete piers.
Borings under drives for utilities.
REVISIONS
Foundation Crew will excavate for the foundation and pour the concrete beams/footings - second or third week of April.
HC will be moved and set/cribbed above the beams. Third or fourth week of April.
Underground water and electric installed. Late April.
Foundation crew will install drains, pour the foundation walls then backfill fourth week of April.
HC will be lowered onto the foundation walls. First week of May.
Demolition and removal of current foundation along with backfill. First half of May.
Renovate HC.

2013 - December - Approval for Capital Campaign from Pastoral Council, Finance Council, and the Bishop of the Diocese of Dallas.
2014 - January - Capital Campaign Committee formed. Meetings with consultants, Changing Our World, who will be assisting us thru all phases of the Feasibility Study; with favorable results to the feasibility study, will also assist with the related Pledge Drive.
2014 - June - Completed Pledge Drive documents.
2014 - August - Completed rough drafts of revised Master Plan (in-house version)
2014 - September and October - Feasibility Study personal interviews and E-survey conducted
2014 - December - released Feasibility Study results which were favorable to proceed with a Capital Campaign
2015 - March - Pledge Drive commenced
2015 - December - Plege Drive ended
2016 - March - Discussions with Diocese and City of Rowlett regarding historic church move
2016 - June - Consultation with architect, Hugo Monsanto of Waxahachie
2016 - July - Completed new comprehensive property survey
2016 - September - First meeting of SHCC Building Committee (11 members), subcommittees formed, and regular monthly meetings began. Committee bus trip to Waxahachie to tour St. Joseph's new church building under construction (Hugo Monsanto - Architect)
2016 - September - Scope of Phase I revised to include new NW permanent parking lot, campus drainage resulution and move of historic church
2016 - October - Revised Master Plan developed by Hugh Monsanto (architect)
2016 - November - Pre-application meeting with the City of Rowlett
2016 - December - contract negotiations with Hugo Monsanto (architect) regarding Phase I; "Our Past, Our Present, Our Future" (OPOPOF) Capitla Campaign meets $900,000 in pledges paid.
2017 - January - In consultation with Hugo Monsanto (architect) regarding revised Phase I (new NW parking, campus drainage solution, historic church move); discussion with civil engineers to seek proposals to address drainage solutions for new proposed parking area and areas around the current multi-purpose building.

2017 - August 11th - received approval from the City of Rowlett to proceed with Phase I of our Building Plan which consists of relocating the Historic Church, construction of a new 100+ space parking lot and addressing drainag issues.2

2017 - September - John Irvine met with the Rowlett City Manager (Brian Funderbunk) and secured approval of our Master Site Plan
2017 - September - met with Cecilia Colbert, Chief Financial Officer of the Dallas Diocese, to discuss our Master Site Plan, to discuss our current financial holdings and to discuss our phased approach to future construction
2017 - October - met with Mark Hightower, Director of Real Estate and Construction - Diocese of Dallas, to discuss our finanial position and our phased construction plans
2017 - October - Fr. Danny met with Bishop Burns regarding our revised Master Plan
2017 - November 17th - met with the Chief Operating Office of the Dallas Diocese, Bill Keffler, to review our Master Plan, to review our current financial holdings related to future construction and for a campus walk through
2017 - December - OPOPOF pledges paid total $1,287,800 ($456,000 Diocese share)
2018 - February - Approval from Bishop Burns (Bill Leffler 02.07.18 letter) granted approval to proceed with Phase 1 (relocation and renovation of historic church)
2018 - May - mailed seventeen Request for Information letters to Architectural Firms
2018 - July - Architecture committee narrowed list down to three Architect finalists
2018 - September - Cash equivalents (all sources) for our Building Project totals $3,245,023; construction commences only after available funds exceed $5,000,000
2018 - December - Fisher Heck selected as the architect of our Building Project
2019 - February - Project Manager contract signed by the Diocese
2019 - February - Fisher Heck Architectural contract signed by the Diocese
