First Eucharist Preparation

First Eucharist/ First Reconciliation Preparation

We offer  a two consecutive year program for children preparing for First Eucharist and First Reconciliation. We hope all parents and their families work together with our catechists to make this time a significant moment in the lives of our children and young people in the parish.

The best gift we receive in this life is Jesus Himself.

In the celebration of  the Mass we listen to the Word of God during the Liturgy of the Word. We offer our prayers and participate in the  the Liturgy of the Eucharist remembering Jesus' Last Supper with His disciples.  We celebrate Jesus' life, death and resurrection as a faith community. We receive the Body of Christ and His Most Precious Blood as our true spiritual food and drink as we journey on earth with faith, hope and love.

We promote a sacramental preparation rooted in family life, supported by classroom catechesis and celebrated within the church community.

We believe that  children celebrating First Eucharist need an appreciation of the awesome gift they will receive.

First Eucharist as well as First Reconciation formation  begin in first grade and continues in second grade.
